Mario Superstar baseball is coming to the real world thanks to Nintendo’s partnership with Japan’s professional baseball league.
The gaming giant is sponsoring home games for all 12 teams in the Nippon Professional baseball league from April 29 – June 21 in honor of Mario’s 40th anniversary.
This activation includes all kinds of fun crossovers between Mario and Japan’s favorite sport, including question-block bases, with opportunities for kids and adults to run the bases after each game.

Mario and co. will continue to visit home games throughout the next month until June 21. It’s clear Nintendo is going all-out for Mario’s 40th anniversary, which coincides with Pokemon‘s 30th, resulting in movies, brand deals, and oodles of merchandise (most of which has already been scalped, unfortunately).
